Why We've Stopped Restocking Alibarbar 9000

We know many of our customers enjoy the Alibarbar 9000, so we wanted to explain why we've decided to stop restocking it.

The reason is simple: there are now too many counterfeit Alibarbar products circulating in the market, and identifying genuine stock has become increasingly difficult.

As a retailer, we never want our customers to receive products of questionable quality or unknown origin. Rather than take that risk, we've decided to pause all future Alibarbar 9000 orders for the time being.

## The Counterfeit Problem

Over the past few months, we've seen multiple fake versions of the Alibarbar 9000 appear in the market.

### Fake Version #1 – The "LTD" Version

One of the most common counterfeit versions can be identified by the website printed on the back of the packaging:

**alibarbar.ltd**

These products are often referred to as the "LTD Version".

A quick way to identify them is by checking the scratch card inside the package. Genuine products include a scratch-off coating covering the verification code, while LTD versions typically do not have any protective coating at all.

### Fake Version #2 – The "Atibarbar" Version

Another counterfeit version uses the website:

**atibarbar.com**

These products are much harder to identify because they look very similar to genuine Alibarbar devices.

The scratch card usually includes a protective coating, making it appear legitimate at first glance.

The key difference is in the spelling:

Genuine: **Alibarbar**

Counterfeit: **Atibarbar**

It's only one letter different, which makes it easy to miss if you're not paying close attention.

## How to Check if Your Device is Genuine

While the packaging is usually the easiest way to spot a fake, there are several additional checks you can perform.

### 1. Scratch & Scan

Carefully scratch the holographic verification panel and scan the QR code using your phone.

A genuine device should direct you to:

**verify.alibarbar.com**

If the QR code takes you somewhere else, proceed with caution.

### 2. Check the Weight

A genuine Alibarbar 9000 weighs approximately:

**48.9g ± 0.5g**

Many counterfeit units weigh significantly less, with some averaging around:

**41g**

A simple kitchen scale can often reveal the difference.

### 3. LED Behaviour Test

Take three primer puffs before regular use.

On genuine devices, the LED remains a steady white.

Some counterfeit devices use cloned chipsets that flash purple instead. If this happens, we recommend stopping use and contacting your retailer immediately.

## Why We're Making This Decision

The reality is that checking authenticity has become a frustrating process for everyone involved.

Retailers need to inspect packaging, websites, scratch cards, QR codes, device weight and even internal chipset behaviour. Consumers are expected to do the same just to feel confident about what they're buying.

We don't believe our customers should have to worry about any of that.

We'd rather lose a sale than risk putting a questionable product in our customers' hands.

Until the counterfeit situation improves and product authenticity can be verified with confidence, we will not be restocking Alibarbar 9000 devices.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support, and we'll continue focusing on products that meet the quality standards our customers expect.

Thank you for supporting a small Australian business.
